Generally, the answer is no. The agent under a power of attorney is not liable for the power of attorney grantor’s debts. There can be some exceptions to this rule. For example, if the agent used the power of attorney to transfer assets to herself, then she might be liable with respect to those assets. But, in general, the answer is no.
